Permanently changing the logging level directly from GUI

Managing application logging levels in logs has never been easier

 

Thanks to the new functionality available directly from the Confluence GUI, you don't need to edit 'log4j' file to change levels permanently, stop wondering what a correct entry to this file should look like and switch between nodes.

Any changes you make in this configuration will be propagate to all cluster nodes and persist after server restart.

 

These changes will be additionally highlighted, enabling you to recognize them promptly, for instance:

Note that if you disable or uninstall Extender for Confluence app, any modifications made by this configuration will be:

  • set to INFO level - if the package did not have the logging level change set before (they will disappear after Confluence restarting)

  • restored to the default value - if the package had a logging level set before
