Grant yourself permission to restricted content

Since version 5.6.0, you can easily grant yourself permissions to restricted content without having to remove other permissions.

When you’re the owner or admin of a space, sometimes users block access to certain pages (if they have the right to do so).

When you try to access that page, you usually see a message saying you don’t have access.

Confluence lets you remove those restrictions and then you can enter the page. But that can be a lot of work and changes to existing permissions.

So, we’ve added a quick way to grant yourself permissions without having to change anything else.

After pressing Grant yourself permission you’ll be granted permission to edit and make changes to that particular page.
