Permanently changing the logging level directly from GUI

Managing application logging levels in logs has never been easier

 

Thanks to the new functionality available directly from the Jira GUI, you don't need to edit 'log4j' file to change levels permanently and stop wondering what a correct entry to this file should look like.

Any changes you make in this configuration are persisted across server restarts.

 

 

These changes will be additionally highlighted, enabling you to recognize them promptly, for instance:

Note that if you disable or uninstall Extender for Jira app, any modifications made by this configuration will be:

  • disabled - if the package did not have the logging level change set before (they will disappear after Jira restarting)

  • restored to the default value - if the package had a logging level set before
